Hi, Went to the Maize Maze on the last day it was open and
loved it!! We had so much fun! Will you be having the Maize Maze again next year?
Y. MacLellan Lake Echo NS
Unfortunately we will not be
having the maze this year and not in the foreseeable future.
Didnt know about you till now, will be up on sunday and
i am very excited about all your organic product. they are hard to
find and also grass fed beef with no hormons.
C Swinimer Blockhouse NS
Your sugar snaps are amazing. My partner and I are
from Australia where we are spoilt with a large variety of fresh produce all year round. The only place that is similar and often
better than what we are used to is your outlet at the markets. We are so thankful that you are there every week to provide us with fabulous
food which is reasonably priced and to save us from the clutches of the
supermarkets.
S. Hearn Halifax NS
How do you cook the banana potatoes? Never heard of
them before.
B & J Upham Dartmouth NS
You cook them like any other potato.
They hold their shape very well when cooked so that is something to
keep in mind. We have also been told that they are excellent
roasted.
I went to your Maize Maze on Sunday and although you can tell it took a great deal of work and
preparation I feel that visitors need to be told a few things by the girls that work at the gate:
1. It is no place for strollers!
2. We were getting hot and the baby was crying. We waved the flag, as instructed, and no one
came. In asking about this afterwards, was told "Oh, I didn't see it, sorry". There was only one girl
working and I noticed afterwards, (from our car later) that she sat looking one way. That's like a
lifeguard looking one way. Why bother saying it ("wave the flag")
and not doing it (seeing someone
who needs help)?
3. No instruction was given before we went in by the girl at the front.
4. There were only "kids" and "expert" entrances - no in-between.
All in all, I didn't find it an enjoyable experience and would not go again.
C. Johnson
I went to the maze just before school started. It was an
extraordinary maze just like the one before!
L. Murray Bridgewater NS
We are wondering if you open at 12:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
Cyril from BT sent us an email stating you opened at 9:00 on the weekend. We plan to visit today. Thank you

Hay Greg! Its the guy from Digby. Excellent Web Site.
Hope your doing well with your crops. I'm now working at an internet
computer trouble shooting call center and still playing guitar too.
I just wanted to let ya know i grew 164 tomato plants in
this coal saturated cape breton soil and harvested 3 tomatoes !! Any help
appreciated for next year.
J. Gallant , Cape Breton, NS
We enjoyed your maze. A lot of thought
and work must have been put into this idea. I hope it
pays off for you. It was a nice clean family day out.
PG. Skelhorn, Windsor, NS.
Informative! Would like to see organic
garlic.
G.Chisolm, Kentville, NS.
Wish I could eat your vegetables, do you
send any to Ontario Groc. Stores? Cute baby, hear another
is along the way. Sure, I'd love to get lost in your
maze, next time I'm in Halifax.
M. Jager, Oakville, Ont.
Cool maze! Uncle Albert says that its too
easy to cheat in a corn field...of course, he WOULD think
of that...Very cool website. Uncle Albert would like to
see pictures of tractors and machinery etc. The cool
stuff that wannabe farmers like my father like to drool
over...and talk about how they work...its fun for him!
H. Vander Ploeg, Vineland, Ont.
I will work on the
tractor pictures for him. I will probably have to talk to
John though, Greg surprisingly doesn't have that many!
Hi Suzanne!! Remember me - Tara from 4E
Chase at Acadia!!!
T. Hollingsworth, Belmont, NS
Yes, I remember you
but you didn't email me back:(
We miss being close to catch all of the
veggies! Web page looks great!

Looking forward to visiting the maize
maze & getting our pumpkins.
S & C Horton, Bridgewater, NS
Saw you on TV, and then I saw your ad in
the paper, so I thought that I'd drop you a line to say
hi! Sounds like things are going well on your end!
Gillian is very cute!
A Irwin, Halifax, NS
I think that Maize Maze is great. We are
definitely planning a trip this fall to take an adventure
in the Maize field.
L Garrett, Halifax, NS
Very interested in your unique on-farm
activities, particularly your corn maze. I. You are to be
commended on your fine web site and on your creative
marketing techniques. It's so nice to see family
portrayed on your web site! She's a real sweetie.
L Sandeson, Truro, NS
Excellent idea!
D. Acker, Kentville, NS
Nice web page but you need a more
detailed map of your location.
URL what is this?
D & F Irwin, Bedford, NS
We have changed the
map and hopefully it is an improvement. By clicking on
the map with your mouse you are taken to a page where you
can zoom in and out to get more or less detail.
URL stands for
universal resource locator but all it really means is
your web address is you have one.
Like the freshness and the pesticide free
aspect.
R & B Harrop, Halifax, NS
Wonderful spinach!!! We are interested in sour
cherries, i.e. for baking. Do you have these? When will
they be ready? We used to pick at the Foote Family Farm.
Same area?
E Ryan, Dartmouth, NS
Yes, we have access to sour
cherries but at this point I am not sure when they will
be ready as we do not grow them ourselves. To answer you
other question we are in the same general area as the
Foote's Farm. They are about fifteen minutes away form
us.
Great idea to have pre-ordering! Do you welcome
visitors to your farm?
D. Gill, Dartmouth, NS
Yes, we welcome visitors as long
as we know that you are coming. In the future we hope to
be able to be open to visitors during all business hours.
However when our corn maize is running in the fall, we
expect everyone to come and enjoy themselves while
getting lost in the maze.
Gillian is adorable. Congratulations!
Make one of those apple boxes just a little bit larger,
stuff it with lots of carrot tops, and give her a nice
cozy little place to snooze under the table on market
days. I've just quickly scanned your web site but will be
having a closer look at it all. Although I'm no longer at
the market, it will be nice to keep up to date by
checking into your sight. Although you are no doubt
becoming very, very busy at this time of year, if you get
a chance, have a look at my Queens County Times - an
online community newspaper. It's not running officially
yet but I've been practicing as a growing number of
readers check in. home.xcountry.tv/m.b.mouzar/queenscountytimes
Hope you have the best season ever at the market, and
Barry and I will miss your veggies, especially the
wonderful broccoli.
M. Mouzar, Queens County, NS
